Wayne Hintz, of Helena, Montana was born and raised in Elgin, North Dakota. After high school, Wayne attended the University of North Dakota, where he obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in
accounting. He owns his own Accounting practice in Helena, Montana since 1982.
At a Lions midwinter
conference in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Wayne met Mary Ann, also a Lion, and was married a year later. They have 5
daughters and 1 son.
Wayne enjoys playing bridge competitively and is an avid United States coin collector. He enjoys the
Helena Symphony and is also active in the American Legion and Last Chance Toastmaster Club. He is the Past Commander of the Lewis and Clark Post #2.
Wayne joined the Helena Lions Club in 1983 and has held all chairs except Secretary-Treasurer. Wayne’s father was instrumental in his joining Lions, as his father was a member for many years in Elgin, North Dakota. Wayne is a firm believer in the sight programs, and is actively promoting Campaign SightFirst II.
Wayne and MaryAnn have enjoyed working together on their own local Lions Club projects. They have traveled to USA/Canada Forums in both Countries. They have met many special Lions along the way, extending from North America to Australia.
Wayne has received two International Presidents certificates of appreciation, is a Judge Brian
Stevenson fellowship and has a Melvin Jones fellowship.

Pam Beyer, of Bigfork, Montana grew up in New York where she completed her schooling, and began her career in marketing/advertising with Bristol-Myers Squibb. In 1974, Pam moved to Seattle, landing a possition in the new technology of computing with Boeing Computer Services, a branch of Seattle's Boeing Aerospace Company . Here she met and married her husband, Lion Dave, raised 4 children and now have 4 grandchildren. When Dave decided to take early retirement in 1994, they moved back to Montana where Dave grew up. Together they taught Children's Clubs in the elementary schools and continue their community volunteering. Pam is a part time aerobics coach at their health club, and in addition, enjoys tennis, theatre and bicycling. She joined her local Toastmaster Club, serving as secretary and earned her CTM (Competent Toastmaster); served as President of her local Ladies Auxiliary; a past member of Soroptomists International; and currently mentors young people through the Literacy Volunteers Association.
In 1998, Pam joined the Kalispell Lions Club, quickly signing on to Tail-twister, Bulletin Editor, Sunshine Chair and Social Chair, Zone Chair and is presently serving as Club President, but it was at the Leadership Training in 2002 that Pam's heart for Lionism grew . Through the excellent training and mentoring in an intense weekend provided by Lions International, a whole new perspective of Lionism developed. It was there that Pam said “she caught the bug ". Pam thanks her husband for leading the way into Lionism; her local club members for their hard work, integrity, friendship and encouragement to try new things.
